Obviously, this isn’t a typical Scott Adkins movie (and could never be on the same level as one of his martial arts movies), but it was a fun ride, nonetheless. It had a very 90’s feel, a fun soundtrack to match it, purposely (I hope, anyway) cheap visuals, and the whole thing was just corny and silly and fun. I loved Max’s personality (as a joke and in a movie, obviously) and I would have loved to see more of it, or even more extreme. There was a little bit of fighting with some of his signature moves, but not too much.

They did kind of steal a line from Predator, and I’m still not sure if I love or hate that, but it was so unexpected and made me laugh out loud for a couple of minutes.

If you go into this expecting a low budget, corny movie with Scott Adkins trying something different, I think you’ll enjoy it. (As someone else mentioned, if this wasn’t a Scott Adkins movie, this probably would have been a 5/10.)
